There are settlements available at the quartz mountain inside
a little area set for residential development and urbanization,
since most of the ground is designated to be an ecologic reserve
and protection for animal species and vegetation that constitute
that region’s biodiversity that must be admired, enjoyed,
but also guarded respectfully.
The ecologic reserve has 1,000 acres area; development and
business operation is confined to the 15% of the land. Natural
treasure for men, its existence and conservation is the ultimate
and fundamental meaning of El Santuario.
The settlement development on this land was authorized according
to the resolution of the state executive’s entitled
from Estado de México, published november 18 of 1992
at Diario Oficial.
